Abby’s Bagels
This cute, colorful shop is the perfect place to grab a bagel at any time of day. Located in Lower Greenville, it is the perfect place to get some breakfast, especially if you’re in a hurry. All their bagels are kettle-boiled and baked, resulting in a crispy exterior and a soft interior. Out of all the shops on this list, Abby’s Bagels probably has the widest variety of bagel flavors and options. You’ll find over a dozen different bagels and spreads, including all the classics and some fun ones.
What I Ordered: I got the Chocolate Chocolate Chip bagel with Plain Schmear. The bagel was super sweet (perfect for chocolate lovers like me) and paired wonderfully with the cream cheese.

Benny’s Bagels
For years, Benny’s Bagels has been proudly serving the North Dallas and Addison area community with fully kosher, 100% vegetarian food made fresh daily. Certified by Dallas Kosher, they make everything in-house each morning — from hand-rolled New York-style bagels and crispy kosher pizza to hearty wraps and housemade schmears. It has become a favorite with residents and visitors alike and it’s not hard to see why. The food is delicious, the prices are affordable, and the staff are very friendly.
What I Ordered: I got the plain bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was a good size and very tasty while the schmear was smooth and creamy.

Lubbies Bagels
Nestled in the White Rock neighborhood, Lubbies Bagels is an adorable and quirky bagel shop serving a selection of freshly made bagels, schmears, espresso drinks, and more. Founded by two sisters, Lubbies Bagels offers a variety of bagel flavors including cinnamon raisin, whole wheat-honey, parmesan, garlic, plain, egg, everything, onion, sun-dried tomato, pumpernickel, sesame, and poppy. The shop has various schmear flavors as well including plain cream cheese, whipped butter, honey, peanut butter, chopped chicken liver, nutells, avocado, whitefish salad, and roasted carrot hummus.
What I Ordered: I got the egg bagel with plain cream cheese. The egg bagel was rich and fluffy while the cream cheese was smooth and tasty. It was the perfect way to start my morning!

Sclafani’s New York Bagels
Sclafani’s New York Bagels & Sandwiches is Dallas’ premier NYC-style bagel shop. Their recipes combine Italian bread-making and Jewish bagel-making for fantastic New York City-style bagels. Every day, they make authentic water-boiled bagels from scratch so you’re guaranteed to have a freshly baked bagel whenever you go. In addition to regular-flavored bagels, Sclafani’s has a wide variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, cream cheese sides, hot coffee, and more.

Shug’s Bagels
Founded by an SMU alumni, Shug’s Bagels became a well-loved staple of both college students and local residents. Whether you like bagels for breakfast or to satisfy a late-night craving, this bagel shop has you covered. If you like bagels just by themselves, there is a great selection of bagel and schmear flavors to choose from. However, if you’re in the mood to have a bagel sandwich, there are have around 12 options for breakfast and lunch.
What I Ordered: My favorite bagel at Shug’s is the blueberry bagel. This flavor is my go-to when it comes to bagels and the one at Shug’s was so decadent. Also, these bagels are HUGE; you definetly get your money’s worth.

What I Ordered: I got the plain bagel with regular cream cheese. The bagel has the right amount of crunch on the outside and softness on the inside.
