Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at Addison’s Iconic Kaboom Town!

What better way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday than by attending one of the most iconic and famous Independence Day celebrations in the U.S.A.?

Addison’s Kaboom Town! is one of the largest single-day events in Texas, with more than half a million people coming from far and wide. This historic celebration has been around for over four decades and just keeps getting better. Held annually on July 3rd, Kaboom Town! is more than just a fireworks show; it is a festival celebrating America and the values of freedom, community, and patriotism. The pyrotechnic display at Kaboom Town! has been named among the top fireworks shows in the country by USA Today, Yahoo!, The Wall Street Journal, Travel + Leisure Magazine, and the American Pyrotechnics Association.

In sync with Texas America 250, Addison’s Kaboom Town! will incorporate themes and displays honoring the 250 years of American Independence will also showcasing Texas’ role in the U.S.’s history. There will be tributes to active-duty service members and veterans and educational elements recognizing this important milestone. This is an incredibly special year for U.S.A. and Kaboom Town! will bring thousands of people together to bear witness to history and celebrate, as a united nation, our country’s values of freedom, liberty, community, and patriotic pride.

Activities

The headliners for the event are the Addison Airport Air Show and Fireworks. The Addison Airport Air Show (try saying that five times fast) will feature vintage aircraft race across the North Texas sky. Aviation enthusiasts and spectators alike will witness stunt pilots perform feats of daring like low passes, hammerheads, rolls, loops, and spins.

For the Grand Finale, you’ll be a part of one of the best firework shows in the country. This massive display can be viewed all over Addison and is 30-minutes long. To enhance your experience, tune into 100.3 Jack FM for a radio simulcast filled with patriotic music. Kaboom Town’s Firework Show features 4,000 shells with 1,500 in the finale alone. Tune in to the radio simulcast on 100.3 Jack FM to fully experience one of the best fireworks displays in the country.

There are activities for the whole family throughout the festival including the Christmas in July Elf Market, Kaboom Balloons, Face Tunes, Patriotic Playground, and Uncle Sam’s Jam Silent Disco. Additionally, the CW33 Main Stage will feature various musical acts including US Air Force Band of the West, Poo Live Crew Cover Band, and the Emerald City All Stars.
